Outcomes Management: Incorporating and Sustaining Processes Critical to Using Outcome Data to Guide Practice Improvement
An outcomes management system (OMS) greatly facilitates an organization or state achieving requirements regarding accountability and use of empirically based interventions. A case example of the authors' experience with a successful and enduring OMS is presented, followed by a review of the literature and a proposed model delineating the key components and benefits of an OMS. Recidivism, Costs and Psychosocial Outcomes for a Post-Arrest Youth & Adolescent Diversion Program

Recidivism, costs and psychosocial outcomes are reported for a post-arrest diversion program in Wayne County (Detroit), MI. Program features included: rapid, standardized assessment of psychosocial functioning with the JIFF Interviewertm For Functioning1, an individualized plan for addressing needs, engagement of caregivers, service provision by youth assistance programs in the youth’s community, and access to mental health and substance use services as needed.
